String Garden Take II

Round two with these fabulous little balls of love. For this one I added grass seed to the ball - if it actually starts sprouting I'll add more photos in a few weeks.

String Garden

About a year ago I saw this web site - http://www.stringgardens.com/ - and since then I was determined to try it myself once I finally got some window space.

Attempt no. 1 was not so good. I used the wrong mix of soil + kitty litter + water, but Attempt two proved to work out much better. I've started with a plant that's relatively difficult to kill, but once I get the hang of it, I would love to try more adventurous plants!

Additionally, once I find some time, I would like to go gather some moss to stick on the outside of this - i do love my moss.

Geometric Gradient

I made a grid of 2" squares, increasing the space between them by 1/4" with each row/column. They are painted blue with chartreuse highlights.

This is the view from the bed - i love how it changes the perspective!
